  • Note: This guidance applies to actual standards bodies (e.g., IETF (text with tooltip) Internet Engineering Task Force , OASIS (text with tooltip) Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards , IEEE (text with tooltip) Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers , etc.) as well as entities that serve one or more communities in an authoritative role as publisher of standards or guidelines at a policy level or technical level (e.g., NIST (text with tooltip) National Institute of Standards and Technology , FBI (text with tooltip) Federal Bureau of Investigation CJIS (text with tooltip) Criminal Justice Information Services Division , etc.)
  • Map or translate your existing published standards into the trustmark framework
  • Deploy a TPAT (text with tooltip) Trust Policy Authoring Tool and publish trustmark-based representations of your standards
  • Try to “harmonize” your standards when possible (especially across multiple versions of the same standard)
